Niagara-on-the-lake’s best winery restaurant
The reservation was made three months ahead for lunch this week at Two Sisters Vineyard restaurant. The high-quality wine, food, and service were all just as exquisite as when I took a larger group there for lunch in 2019.

The best service in a Niagara-on-the-lake winery restaurant
Describing the beauty and relaxation you feel while dining outdoors at Two Sisters Vineyards is multi-faceted. Let’s take a look at some of the qualities that make it one of the best winery restaurants in Niagara-on-the-lake. There is the superb food, the outstanding wine, and the gorgeous vineyard you look out on as you dine. It has a relaxed, continental pace that takes you somewhere else. The building’s grand architecture extends to the outdoor patio, and the attentive wait staff inevitably appears at the right time.
After our wine tasting, our party shared a charcuterie board, followed by exquisite Ravioli, Margherita pizza, Pollo, and Vitello from the luncheon menu on the outside terrace. These were accompanied by generous glasses of Merlot, Barrel Fermented Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon. It was perfection.
There’s something about wine experts, sommeliers, and hospitality professionals in tuxedos that makes you take notice. But it’s really the supreme interest the staff takes in their customers that makes Two Sisters one of Niagara’s best winery restaurants. And the high quality of their food and wine is outstanding.
Two Sisters Vineyard Niagara-on-the-lake winery restaurant terrace

No matter how you approach the Two Sisters Vineyards restaurant in Niagara-on-the-lake, the palatial estate is sure to impress. Whether you arrive by car or bike, via the Niagara Parkway or further west on John Street East, you’ll be enveloped by the majesty of the location alone.
Rows of tidy vineyards move past you in slow motion as tall trees sway above. The glistening waves of the Niagara River are just a stone’s throw away, and you can gaze at the stately buildings in Lewiston, NY appearing across the water. It’s impossible not to feel something special.

Once you turn into Two Sisters Vineyards at 240 John St. E. in Niagara-on-the-lake, the long paved driveway with succulent-looking vines lining both sides beckons you.
Near the entrance, bicycle racks abound, and each side of the large winery building has parking lots that are perpetually full. On our visit, I looked further and spotted the exotic floral arrangement at the main door, from which a couple emerged. The gentleman was happily laden down with what looked like a heavy box full of Two Sisters wine selections.
Anyone who has been to Two Sisters Vineyards knows how easy it is to rack up a large bill fairly quickly. Given that most wines at Two Sisters start at $40 per bottle and our wine tasting and lunch for four people ran a bill of over $300, it’s astounding to consider what that satisfied customer must have spent.
Friendly, professional winery staff

I reserved a table for four on the outer terrace in late October; although the trees were already turning, the weather was still hot. When my party and I walked down the gorgeous front hall, we were invited into the tasting room by friendly, outgoing staff.
They immediately asked us whether we’d been to Two Sisters before and what drew us to visit the winery. Although members of our party live in different regions of Ontario now, we revealed that we are locals and originally from the Niagara area. A layer of veneer seemed to melt away at that point, and we settled into involved conversations about the wines and the master vintner’s care of the crops.
Best experience at Two Sisters Vineyards tasting room

Staff at Two Sisters Vineyards are so outstanding that they make their employer simply shine. The busy tasting room is both old-world exotic and efficiently modern at the same time.
The room literally buzzes with conversation, and the wines are outstanding. We tasted the Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Riesling, and Riesling Icewine. It was fascinating to hear details of the wine selections as we sipped them, and each was fantastic. But what caught my eye wasn’t only how happy the clientele was, it was how content and engaged the staff seemed to be as well. To me, that’s the hallmark of a great employer and a truly classy winery.
